Prof.Yi-Fei PU, Sichuan University

Yi-Fei PU received Ph.D. from College of Electronics and Information Engineering, Sichuan University, China, in 2006. He is a Full Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor with the College of Computer Science, Sichuan University, and is elected into the Thousand Talents Program of Sichuan Province and the Academic and Technical Leader of Sichuan Province. He focuses on the application of fractional calculus and fractional partial differential equation to signal analysis, signal processing, image processing, circuits and systems, and machine intelligence. He has published with the first author’s identity more than 20 papers indexed by SCI in journals such as International Journal of Neural Systems, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine, IEEE Access, Mathematic Methods in Applied Sciences, and Science in China Series F: Information Sciences, Science China Information Sciences, etc. He held several research projects, such as National Key Research and Development Program Foundation of China, National Nature Science foundation of China, Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars Project of Education Ministry of China, etc., and held 14 China Inventive Patents as the first or single inventor. He won Wu Wen Jun AI Science & Technology Award (Natural Science Award) in 2018.


Prof. Jian Wang, China University of Petroleum (East China)

Prof. Jian Wang received the B.S. Degree in computational mathematics from China University of Petroleum (East China), Dongying, China, in 2002. From 2002 to 2006 he was an instructor with the School of Mathematics and Computational Science, China University of Petroleum (East China). He received the Ph.D. degree in computational mathematics from the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, in 2012. From September 2010 to September 2011, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Louisville, United States. From February 2018 to April 2018, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Electronics and Communication Sciences Unit (ECSU), Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta, India. Prof. Wang was a recipient of the Natural Science Academic Achievement Award of Liaoning Province in 2012 and 2013, separately. He served as the Publication Chair of the 24th International Conference on Neural Information Processing and the Program Committee Chair of the 2016 and 2018 International Symposium on New Trends in Computational Intelligence. He is serving as an Associate Editor of the JOURNAL OF APPLIED COMPUTER SCIENCE METHODS and the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON NEURAL NETWORKS AND LEARNING SYSTEMS. He is currently an Associate Professor and the Director for Cross-Media Big Data Joint laboratory with the China University of Petroleum (East China), Qingdao, China. His current research interests include machine learning, regularization theory, neural networks, neuro-fuzzy systems and evolutionary computation.


Dr.Felix Fang, Shanghai Railway Certification Co.,Ltd

General Manager of Assessment and Certification Business Unit of Shanghai Railway Certification Co.,Ltd (SRCC), which is an organization belong to Tongji University. Dr. Felix Fang graduated from Transportation Engineering from Tongji University as an Engineering Doctor. Felix Fang worked in TUV Rheinland as an Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Assessor and General Manager of Rail Department in Great China, since 2017, he joined SRCC of Tongji University as the General Manager of Rail Assessment and Certification business, he has project experiences in China, Germany, Austria, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore which in the field of Railway and Maglev Control, Command, Signalling and Automation, such as Automatic Train Control(ATC), Communication Based Train Control(CBTC), Driverless Train Operation(DTO) and Unattended Train Operation(UTO). Felix Fang has published over 10 journal and conference papers for System Safety, Safety Critical System Modelling and Simulation, System Dependability Assessment. Felix Fang is a registered inspector of China AQSIQ (Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) since 2009 and international registered Safety Assessor. Felix Fang is a technical expert of CNAS for the accreditation of inspection body in the field of functional safety of automation system.

Prof.Jun Wang,IEEE Fellow,IAPR Fellow,City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Jun Wang is the Chair Professor Computational Intelligence in the Department of Computer Science and School of Data Science at City University of Hong Kong. Prior to this position, he held various academic positions at Dalian University of Technology, Case Western Reserve University, University of North Dakota, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also held various short-term visiting positions at USAF Armstrong Laboratory, RIKEN Brain Science Institute, Dalian University of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Changjiang Chair Professor). He received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and an M.S. degree in systems engineering from Dalian University of Technology and his Ph.D. degree in systems engineering from Case Western Reserve University. His current research interests include neural networks and their applications. He published over 200 journal papers, 15 book chapters, 11 edited books, and numerous conference papers in these areas. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics. He also served as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks (1999-2009), IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics and its predecessor (2003-2013), and IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics – Part C (2002–2005), as a member of the editorial board of Neural Networks (2012-2014), editorial advisory board of International Journal of Neural Systems (2006-2013. He was an organizer of several international conferences such as the General Chair of the 13th International Conference on Neural Information Processing (2006) and the 2008 IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence, and a Program Chair of the IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (2012). He is an IEEE Fellow, IAPR Fellow, and an IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society Distinguished Lecturer (2017-2018), and was an IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Distinguished Lecturer (2010-2012, 2014-2016). In addition, he served as President of Asia Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA) in 2006 and many organizations such as IEEE Fellow Committee; IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Awards Committee; IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society Board of Governors, He is a recipient of an IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks Outstanding Paper Award and APNNA Outstanding Achievement Award in 2011, Neural Networks Pioneer Award from IEEE Computational Intelligence Society in 2014, among other distinctions.


Prof.Steven Guan, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Prof.Steven Guan received his M.Sc. & Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is currently a Professor and the Director for Research Institute of Big Data Analytics at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). He served the head of department position at XJTLU for 4.5 years, creating the department from scratch and now in shape. Before joining XJTLU, he was a tenured professor and chair in intelligent systems at Brunel University, UK.

Prof. Guan has worked in a prestigious R&D organization for several years, serving as a design engineer, project leader, and department manager. After leaving the industry, he joined Yuan-Ze University in Taiwan for three and half years. He served as deputy director for the Computing Center and the chairman for the Department of Information & Communication Technology. Later he joined the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at National University of Singapore as an associate professor.

Prof. Guan’s research interests include: machine learning, modeling, security, networking, and pseudorandom number generation. He has published extensively in these areas, with 130+ journal papers and 180+ book chapters or conference papers. He has chaired and delivered keynote speech for 20+ international conferences and served in 150+ international conference committees and 20+ editorial boards.


Dr.Chao-Chin Wu, National Changhua University of Education, Taiwan

Chao-Chin Wu is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Changhua niversity of Education, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 1998. He has joined National Changhua University of Education as an Assistant Professor since August 2000. He was the Director of Computer Center from August 2005 to July 2007, and the Chairperson of Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering from August 2007 to July 2010. He also served a council member, a supervisor, and a managing supervisor for Taiwan Association of Cloud Computing. He was a visiting scholar at Virginia Tech from August 2010 to July 2011.

His research interests are in multi-core high performance computing, parallel and distributed computing, and intelligent computing. He has published more than thirty journal papers and over eighty conference papers. He was a guest editor of a special issue of Information Systems Frontiers, an SCI journal, and the leading guest editor of special issue of the International Journal of Computational Science and Engineering, an EI journal. He reviewed lots of papers for SCI journals, including IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, and IEEE Transactions on VLSI. He served the General Chair of TANET 2009, the Vice Program Chair of FCST 2009, the Track Chair of ICITES 2012, and Technical Program Committee members for international conferences.

Dr.Tianhua Xu

Dr.Tianhua Xu,Senior Research Fellow, University College London, United Kingdom

Tianhua Xu is currently a Senior Research Fellow in Optical Networks Group, Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, at University College London, United Kingdom. He received his B.Sc. degree in Information Engineering from Tianjin University, China, in 2005. Between 2005 and 2008, he undertook his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Optical Engineering, both of which were awarded at Tianjin University. From 2008 to 2012, he took a second Ph.D. study in Microelectronics and Applied Physics, at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, obtaining his second Ph.D. degree in June 2012. Following this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Royal Institute of Technology, and a visiting Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Technical University of Denmark, from June 2012 to July 2013. His research work was in the field of optical fibre communications, digital signal processing and machine learning techniques based on the coherent detection of optical signal. In July 2013, he joined the Optical Networks Group, Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, at University College London. His current research work is focused on the investigations of nonlinearity compensation and nonlinear channel modelling in ultra-wideband optical fibre communication systems, under the support of UK EPSRC project “Unlocking the Capacity of Optical Communications”. Tianhua Xu is the Chair of Optics in Digital Systems Technical Group in Optical Society of America, and has published over 70 journal and conference papers, 1 book chapter and 4 patents.


Prof.Mack J. Du

Prof.Mack J. Du, Shanghai Jianqiao University

Mr. Mack J. Du is senior engineer and prof. In long term, focuses on the approaching and researching in the information communication, mobile system, networking construction as well as internet of things ( IOT ) fields. Mr. Mack bears the role for the consultant member of 3GPP of international , senior member of data-comm AP committee , chief secretary of CIPA association , governing member of info. display association in China branch , the member of IEEE , and Sr. member of communication of CHASH . In the past two decades of year plus, mack worked in the global famous leading comapny in the industry such as Motorola , America Hughes , Ericsson , and Alcatel – Lucent and so on . Meanwhile for tutoring Jianqiao University. In addition, he was inauguration in the state class research and design institution for the ealier decade of yeare . As the specilist, soluition officer and expert in defferent phases, he accomplished thirty more projects , programs and subjects which covering infotmation exchange, networking consturaction, digital mobile, intelligent comprehensive service, message display control and things network etc aspects. Meanwhile achieved some key projects in industry including PBX project, Damux joint project with Demark, comprehensive info mangement for SH art museum, intellegient vidoe comm control system for beijing Olympics , Data-comm logistical mangement project for Singapore , GPRS digital mobile system for GD operator and so forth. In the past years, he was the recipient a dozen of awards from international , state and industries earler and late. During his professional vocation, provided more than ten times key speeches in the global summit , international conference as well as specify seminars. Prof.Lukas W. Snyman

Dr. Lukas W. Snyman, Professor and Chair, Department of Electrical and Mining Engineering, College of Science, Engineering and Technology, University of South Africa, Pretoria, South Africa.

Lukas W. Snyman received the B.Sc., B.Sc Hons., M.Sc. and PhD degrees, in physics and semiconductor physics from the University of Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Since 1980 he was a Associate Professor at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Since 2000, he was Professor at the Tshwane Technical University of Technology (TUT) in Pretoria South Africa. In 1996 he was a visiting Guest Scientist at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland. Professor Snyman has recently been appointed as Professor and Chair of the Department of Electrical and Mining Engineering at the University of South Africa (UNISA), a new high ranking College for Science, Engineering and Technology in Florida, Johannesburg, South Africa. Here he has been tasked to establish a new dynamic department to foster high end research, but also to promote innovation and entrepreneurship activities and research and development programmes in South Africa and in Africa . His main research interests since 1980 have been optoelectronic devices, CMOS IC design, Silicon Photonics , Si Av LEDs, and particularly in the application of these in order new generation innovative and marketable photonic systems in silicon integrated circuitry. Embedded control systems, micro-wave and high-frequency electronics (GSM-GPS) and their application for generating innovative products for the South African and African markets are current secondary interests. Professor Snyman has to date published about 80 scientific articles, mostly in international conference proceedings and scientific journals. He is author and co-author of two scholarly chapters in Intech books on topics of Integrating Micro-Photonic Systems and MOEMS into Standard Silicon CMOS Integrated Circuitry, and “Silicon Avalanche based Si LEDs and their potential integration into CMOS and RF bipolar technology” in 2010 and 2014, respectively. His research in this field has constantly been evolving , and has delivered several guest lectures on these topics at various universities and institutions internationally. Furthermore, he is the main inventor of four granted U.S. A granted patents, co-inventor of two granted USA patents, main inventor of two European Patents, main inventor two Korean patents, two Chinese patents, and ten granted SA patents, mainly on Si Av LEDs and their applications. Prof. Snyman won the WIRSAM scientific awards in South Africa for best lectures at scientific conference. He received the South African Microelectronics Industries (SAMES) award for best contribution in semiconductor physics and microelectronics in South Africa in 1978. In 2002 he received an Academic Excellence Award of “ Researcher of the Year” at the TUT. In 2010, he received an Academic Excellence Award of “Innovator of the Year” at the TUT. In 2015, Professor Snyman was nominated as finalist in the prestigious 2015 BHP Billiton National Science and Technology Forum Award : Photonics: International Year of Light in South Africa He is a current active member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers in the USA, a member of the Society for Photonic and Instrumentation Engineers in the USA, as well as a registered professional scientist at the SA Council for Natural Scientists in South Africa.. Professor Snyman has international associations and collaborations with the Boston University in the USA, ESIEE Engineering school in France. Recently, he established collaboration with Prof Kaikai Xu of the UESTC University in Chengdu, China., and together they have now published several high ranking articles together. Prof.Yingxu Wang

Prof. Yingxu Wang, Professor and Chair, Prof., PhD, PEng, FICIC, FWIF, SMIEEE, SMACM, Schulich School of Engineering and Hotchkiss Brain Institute, University of Calgary, Canada.

Yingxu Wang is professor of cognitive computing, brain science, and denotational mathematics, President of International Institute of Cognitive Informatics and Cognitive Computing (ICIC) at the University of Calgary. He is a Fellow of ICIC, a Fellow of WIF (UK), a P.Eng of Canada, and a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM. He was visiting professor (on sabbatical leave) at Oxford University (1995), Stanford University (2008|2016), UC Berkeley (2008), and MIT (2012), respectively. He is the founder and steering committee chair of the annual IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Informatics and Cognitive Computing (ICCI*CC) since 2002. He is founding Editor-in-Chief of Int. Journal of Cognitive Informatics & Natural Intelligence (IJCINI), founding Editor-in-Chief of Int. Journal of Software Science & Computational Intelligence (IJSSCI), Associate Editor of IEEE Trans. on SMC-Systems, and Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Advanced Mathematics & Applications (JAMA). Dr. Wang is the initiator of a few cutting-edge research fields such as cognitive informatics, denotational mathematics (concept algebra, process algebra, system algebra, semantic algebra, and inference algebra), abstract intelligence (AI), cognitive computing, cognitive learning engines, cognitive knowledge base theory, and basic studies in software science, neuroinformatics, fuzzy mathematics, cognitive linguistics, and computational intelligence. He has presented 30 invited keynote speeches in international conferences. Prof.Guojian Cheng

Prof. Guojian Cheng, Xi’an Peihua University.

Dr. Guojian Cheng is the Dean of E&E department of Xi’an Peihua University, also as a Professor at the School of Computer Science, Xi'an ShiYou (Petroleum) University. He received Dr. rer. nat. from University of Tuebingen, Germany, in 2002. His current research topic focuses on the projects of Proxy Modeling with Core Vector Machine for Reservoir History Matching and Hybrid Soft Computing for Petroleum Reservoir Modeling & Simulation, both supported by National Natural Scientific Foundation of China. His other research interesting is mainly on computational intelligence applications for petroleum engineering such as geology modeling, reservoir simulation, smart oilfields and also for data mining, machine learning, pattern recognition, biometrics, business intelligence, etc.
